Indian Head Massage
Head massage has been practised in India for over a thousand years and has always played an important part in everyday life.
It was originally developed by women as part of their grooming routine. However the head massage technique used today in the UK has been adapted to include the neck, shoulders, upper arms, upper back and face as we tend to carry alot of tension in the upper back, shoulders and neck.
Indian Head Massage works to:-
Stimulate circulation, enhancing the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues thereby encouraging healing.
Relaxes muscular tension so helping to relieve tension headaches.
Stimulates lymphatic drainage, helping to remove toxins and boost the immune system.
Relieves eyestrain and mental and physical strain.
Increases the supply of oxygen to the brain so helping to improve concentration and relieve mental fatigue.
Restores joint mobility, stretches and mobilises the muscular tissue of the neck and shoulders.
Stimulates and improves circulation to the scalp promoting hair growth and improving the strength of hair.

" From the moment I step into Elaine's cabin I feel a sense of calm.
I regularly receive Reiki from Elaine, so does my 9 year old son and we both benefit greatly from this.
Sometimes when I feel the need for more hands on relaxation an Indian Head Massage never fails to leave me feeling relaxed and completely de-stressed.
After my first session I realised head massage is a misleading title for this therapy! As it actually encompasses the head, neck and back to my delight!
I can highly recommed Elaine as all her therapies are amazing but when the stresses and tensions of everyday life are taking their toll then an Indian Head Massage by Elaine is the perfect therapy." - LW
" Never having had an Indian Head Massage before - I didn't know what to expect but I was delighted. I found it one of the most relaxing and enjoyable massage experiences I have had, leaving me feeling relaxed and ready to face any problems that might come my way." - VAL
